Born in Stryker Ohio & grew up in Evansport Ohio. Was employed at the ARO Corporation in Bryan for over 40 years. Was a photographer in the US Air Force and retired from the Ohio Air National Guard in Toledo in 1975 as a Senior Master Sergeant with 21 years service. Married to wife Elsie for 56 years (died in 2012), has 3 children, 8 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. Was a Boy Scout leader for 20 years. Is a Life member of American Legion Post 284 and has been active since 1963, serving in most offices of the post. Was Commander during 50th Anniversary & also during Centennial year. Have served as historian for many groups over 50 years. Has been a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church since 1956. Is a trustee on the board of the Williams County Veterans Memorial. Is a trustee on the board of the Williams County Veterans Military Heritage Museum. Is a member of the Williams County Historical & Genealogical Societies. Has been interested in the preservation of history by taking photos for most of his life.
